ROME ART & ARCHAEOLOGY TOUR (11 - 14 March 2021)
Join us in this wonderful tour of Rome where we will visit archaeological sites which have been recently opened to the public and some of the most beautiful art galleries and palaces. We will be staying in the very central Trevi Fountain Relais Hotel and your guides Irene Gianello and Annalisa Conway will accompany you and give you further insights into the history, architecture and art of Rome. You will also have time to relax and enjoy the Roman Dolce Vita.
In the afternoon visit to Villa Borghese and its gardens. Villa Borghese has some of Rome most important works of art, from Titian to Raphael, from Bernini to Canova.
Day 3 Latest archaeological sites visits. Domus Aurea, Nero’s Golden Palace and its secrets, virtual reality experience. Visit to St Clemente Basilica and Palazzina Farnesina which is decorated with some of Raphael’s most exquisite frescoes.
Day 4 Palazzo Barberini and its collection - then departure for airport

Itinerary:
Day 1. Annalisa Conway and Irene Gianello, your Roman guides, will accompany you on a walking tour where they will give you a fascinating insight into the most significant palaces, squares and fountains.
Day 2 Visit to the Galleria Doria Pamphilj which contains a wealth of works of art and historical rooms. Guided tour and talk about the importance of the Doria Pamphilj family and their unique art collection.
